Fragile

During one of the most dangerous floods of Venice recent history, I went to Venice with a paper boat. Certain things are beautiful in such an absolute way that we give their strength for granted, but they need even more care and attention than the other. The boat was fragile as this town, but as well swinging as the smiles I gave to Venetians I came across in the narrow streets invaded by the flood.
